Both of our newly elected Councillors have wasted no time in meeting their residents to hear their concerns.
After stunning successes in September and October in hard fought by-elections overturning massive Labour majorities, the local Councillors have been out and about talking to residents and finding out how they can improve their areas.
Councillor Thomas Taylor says “We worked hard during the Marine by-election and the residents rewarded us with their trust. This seat was the first that Labour won in 2017 and was the current Labour MP’s seat. I think it says a lot that the Conservatives won here. I plan on holding regular surgeries to address any concerns my constituents have”.
Councillor Luke Houghton says “I am thrilled that residents chose to elect me as their Councillor. We ran a positive campaign and I think it shows. I promise to bring in new ideas to revitalise Worthing, and I want residents of Heene to be part of that”.
What is clear is that the Conservatives are making a strong comeback in Worthing and are brimming with excitement as they gear up for the County Council elections in May 2025.
Cllr Taylor held his first surgery in the Marine Gardens Cafe and will hold his next one on Saturday 30 November, 10:00 - 12:00, at Marine Gardens Cafe, Marine Gardens, West Parade, Worthing, BN11 5EF.
